Industrial Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift
Compensation: $22.46 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on various industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities may encompass motors, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, air and water piping, and production equipment, utilizing diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications to resolve issues.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, fostering communication and cooperation to meet operational goals.
- Engage actively in plant safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts as directed by management.
- Uphold a safe and organized workplace by adhering to established procedures, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Be flexible with scheduling, including shift work, overtime, and weekend assignments as necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, cranes, hoists, rigging equipment, welders, and fall protection equipment.
Qualifications:
- Prioritize safety and cleanliness in all activities, consistently adhering to plant and departmental safety guidelines.
- Maintain a record of safe work practices.
- Follow directives from the Maintenance Supervisor and work collaboratively with more experienced team members.
- Communicate effectively across all levels and departments to enhance workplace relationships.
- Understand and apply lockout/tagout procedures effectively.
- Familiarize oneself with the plant's work order system.
- Exhibit regular and predictable attendance.
- Maintain a personal set of hand tools.
- Safely operate plant power tools (e.g., drill press, band saw, angle grinders).
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Diagnose basic mechanical issues within the facility.
- Report unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to supervision promptly.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including navigating steps, ladders, and confined spaces.
- Possess mechanical and technical skills, including equipment lubrication, fabrication, welding, and maintenance of conveying systems.
- Have a foundational understanding of rigging principles and equipment.
Compensation may vary based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
