Job Opportunity: Phlebotomist
Management Business Solutions is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the performance of various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients.
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature.
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Attend annual department trainings.
- Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
Requirements:
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED.
