Job OverviewThis role offers a unique opportunity to work as an independent contractor with ProCare Therapy, providing virtual school psychology services to Kansas schools. With a focus on delivering high-quality care, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized education plans, and offer counseling and support to students facing various challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments and Evaluations: Perform in-depth psychological and educational assessments to identify students' learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and emotional needs. Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide recommendations for intervention strategies to support student growth.
- Offer Counseling and Support: Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students facing academic, social, and emotional challenges. Guide students in building coping strategies, improving their mental well-being, and overcoming barriers to learning.
- Collaborate with Educators and Families: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to create supportive learning environments. Provide consultation on classroom management strategies, behavioral interventions, and ways to boost student engagement.
- Develop and Implement Mental Health Programs: Create and implement programs to promote positive mental health, anti-bullying initiatives, and strategies for addressing issues such as substance abuse and stress management.
To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field, an active Kansas School Psychologist license, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting, with virtual experience preferred.
Salary and BenefitsThis position offers a competitive hourly rate of $30 per hour, based on your level of experience. As an independent contractor, you will enjoy the freedom and flexibility of working from home while securing guaranteed weekly hours and reliable pay for direct and indirect services.
