Job Summary
Tech-Marine Business Inc is seeking a talented and ambitious Financial Analyst Trainee to join their team. This 9-week internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management and develop valuable skills in budget preparation, data analysis, and customer interface.

About the Role
The successful candidate will provide professional support services to the U.S. Navy Shipbuilding Program Offices within PEO Ships at the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Washington, DC. Key responsibilities include providing timely financial support, learning financial management competencies, and developing skill sets that contribute to the workforce. The intern will also gain a basic understanding of Navy budgeting systems and how it works in the Navy, including ERP, NEPS, REMIS, RDOCS, PDOCS, and PBIS. Additionally, they will analyze monthly financial reports and other financial/contract reports, perform administrative tasks such as forensic accounting support, and interface with government customers and contractors.

What You'll Gain
This internship provides a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience, exposing the intern to various facets of the Team Ships organization's Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, and Security functions as it pertains to how the Navy and DoD does business. Upon completion, the intern will have gained valuable experience and developed skills in financial management, budget preparation, data analysis, and customer interface. They will also have had the opportunity to network with professionals in the field and build connections that can lead to future career opportunities.

Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one. They must also be pursuing a degree in an area related to Finance, Business, or Accounting and have received a High School diploma by May. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, outstanding verbal and written communications skills, and ability to travel reasonable distances are also required.
