Job Summary

The Roll-Off Driver is a critical member of our team, responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to deliver containers to various locations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a heavy-duty truck to deliver containers to residential, commercial, and industrial locations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Ensure all containers are properly secured and delivered to the correct location.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and safety meetings to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class A or B Driver's License.
  • 1 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle.
  • Able to meet all DOT requirements.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Age 21 and over.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • 3+ years of experience operating a commercial vehicle.
  • Work experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry.
Physical and Environmental Demands

This role requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors in extreme temperatures and weather conditions. The physical demands of this role include:

  • Continuously grasping, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, twisting, stooping, walking on uneven surfaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Frequent entry and exit from a truck involving using steps to access an elevated seat.
  • Able to work standing and/or sitting for long periods of time.
