About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at WXPN, the public media service from the University of Pennsylvania. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating and cultivating business for the underwriting team, working closely with the Sales Director to design and implement sales efforts targeted to potential corporate sponsors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sales efforts targeted to potential corporate sponsors for local programming, events, digital assets, and prospects for new business.
  • Manage current accounts to ensure timely collection and to increase renewal revenue.
  • Meet established sales and collections goals.
  • Perform other work as needed, including compiling personal weekly sales and activities reports, and work with the traffic department to ensure the contract confirmations are accurate and that sponsorship announcements are written, approved, scheduled, and run appropriately.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent education and experience required.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of proven successful hands-on experience in sales, corporate promotions or marketing required. Experience with selling media will be an asset.
