We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Originator. As a key member of our Consumer Lending division, you will play a critical role in originating residential 1st mortgage loans for outside referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral contacts, including realtors, builders, and professional networks.
  • Stay up-to-date on Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures, as well as available loan products and underwriting guidelines.
  • Utilize technology to communicate with branches and applicants, and to access daily rates, credit reports, and loan processing information.
  • Collect and deliver loan packages to management within set timeframes.
  • Manage loan pipelines through closing and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of satisfaction among applicants and support staff.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; four-year college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines, as well as residential mortgage processing and underwriting procedures.
  • Understanding of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Basic sales technique skills and a strong desire to excel in a competitive environment.
