Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Support: Evaluate students' mental status, behavior, and mood, and provide emotional support and guidance to help them manage symptoms and develop coping mechanisms.
  • Treatment Planning: Execute treatment plans directed by mental health professionals, and maintain detailed records of student progress and observations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Effectively collaborate with team members, including administrators, educators, clinical social workers, and counselors, to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay abreast of best practices in mental health care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or social work required.
  • Certification: Certification as a Mental Health Technician (MHT), Certified Psychiatric Aide (CNA), or a related credential is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent observational and assessment skills, compassionate and empathetic nature, strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
