Job Description

As a Team Trainer in the Bakery Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the high engagement, productivity, and retention of new team members. You will be responsible for organizing and delivering quality training on their home team, working in partnership with team leadership, store trainers, and other qualified team members.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be comfortable speaking with small and large groups, and have the ability to inspire others. You will also be responsible for ensuring new and ongoing store and team training programs are successfully delivered and completed, working within training deadlines and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality training to new team members on their home team
  • Work in partnership with team leadership, store trainers, and other qualified team members
  • Ensure new and ongoing store and team training programs are successfully delivered and completed
  • Coordinate with team leaders and store trainers to schedule new member training during their first four shifts
  • Facilitate team-specific operational training for team members
  • Attend team trainer meetings, as scheduled
  • Act as a role model for constant food safety, sanitation procedures, and occupational safety
  • Train all team members on customer service standards and look for opportunities to provide timely feedback
  • Train all team members on new products, their differentiation, sales tactics, and department placement
  • Consistently practice and model proper care, use, and maintenance of all team equipment and PPE
  • Complete the team trainer operational learning pathway, team trainer certification, and other assigned training
  • Familiarize themselves with the store training roles handbook and maintain engagement with all communication platforms
  • Organize, track, report, and maintain accurate training records using Whole Foods Market's learning systems

Requirements:

  • 6 months of Whole Foods Market experience (or equivalent retail training experience)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Understanding of and compliance with Whole Foods Market's quality goals
