Job Scope:- Overall responsibility for the production of quality material in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Leadership of the Operations department, including administration, planning, coordination, and identifying key initiatives.
- Ownership of plant administrative practices and procedures.
- Leadership of the day-to-day activities in the plant through influence and direction of the Operations team.
- Administration of plant personnel policies, evaluation of team performance, and recommendation of hiring, promotions, salaries, and release of people under their direction.
- Ownership of plant operations leading all personnel in EHS excellence to achieve exceptional Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) performance.
- Participation in budget development activities, review of costs and expenses, and striving for profitable performance of the operating units.
- Identification and participation in implementing process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
- Overseeing the developmental needs of the Operations department.
- Participation in and completion of company-required training programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering, or Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Process Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with engineering principles governing petrochemical or chemical operations.
- 3+ years of experience with technical proficiency in chemistry and engineering principles.
- 8+ years of related experience in chemical plant operations.
- Skills and knowledge: proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs, high technical and analytical abilities, ability to motivate and influence others, good communication and diplomacy skills, effective leadership, coordination, and communication skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
