Job Title: Service Center Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Service Center Coordinator to join our team at The Salvation Army Green Valley Service Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the service center, including supervising staff, managing volunteers, and coordinating community outreach programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Green Valley Service Center, including supervising staff and managing volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local community groups, businesses, and organizations to promote The Salvation Army's programs and services.
  • Coordinate community outreach programs, including the Kids Care Fair, White Elephant, and other fundraising events.
  • Manage the overall supervision and leadership of Green Valley staff, including adherence to job descriptions, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Handle community complaints and inquiries involving the function of the programs and personnel.
  • Source, promote, and recruit volunteers through various techniques, social media, email, and databases.
  • Conduct presentations at various businesses, schools, and churches to promote The Salvation Army's programs and services.
  • Facilitate the Annual Volunteer Luncheon, handling all preparations, awards, and recognition.
  • Compile and manage statistical data information and enter into the NSS system.
  • Oversee the GV social service program for the outlying communities, offering utility, water, gas, and propane assistance.
  • Ensure onsite collection for ARC is handled appropriately.
  • Track and report monthly vehicle mileage.
  • Assist in budget preparation, invoice approval, monitoring income and expenditures throughout the year.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent in related experience.
  • Experience in the supervision of staff.
  • Person of high integrity and willing to support and promote the mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Must represent The Salvation Army in a positive manner at all times.
  • Experience with volunteer recruitment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be capable of working with minimal supervision and independently.
  • Able to organize, delegate, motivate, and set priorities.
  • Working knowledge and ability to use computer systems, including Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrate a positive outgoing attitude, with ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Must have a current Arizona Driver License and a good driving record.
  • Successful criminal background clearance.
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
