Job Summary
We are seeking a Skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic care to non-acutely ill patients, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Essential Functions
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 6 months experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Salary
$43,000 - $53,000 per year, depending on experience.
