POSITION SUMMARYU.S. AutoForce, a segment of U.S. Venture, Inc., leverages over a century of expertise as a frontrunner in the supply chain of tires, undercar components, and lubricants to independent tire vendors, automotive repair facilities, and car dealerships.

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 5:00am - 2:30pm, or until tasks are completed. Overtime may be required as necessary. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Logistics Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading assigned staff through effective goal establishment, performance evaluations, delegation, and communication. Providing measurable feedback, suggestions for enhanced performance, and recognition for accomplishments.
  • Conducting interviews, hiring, and training as needed.
  • Supporting safety initiatives to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory standards. Maintaining a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Assisting with initiatives aimed at process enhancement.
  • Holding regular meetings to keep personnel informed of policies and procedures. Continuously enforcing productivity benchmarks.
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service and communication.
  • Overseeing that drivers complete all necessary daily documentation:
    • Driver hours log (when required)
    • Pre-trip inspection report
    • Driver's vehicle inspection report
    • Daily vehicle mileage and fuel report
    • Ensuring all documentation is submitted promptly to the corporate office
  • Dispatching:
    • Assigning products to be retrieved by material handlers
    • Routing documentation/products to the appropriate area
    • Ensuring drivers complete customer returns within three days of creation
    • Collecting COD logs daily to ensure cash and checks are collected
    • Effectively communicating with CSR's, Sales, Customers, Other locations, and Drivers
  • Fleet Management:
    • Monitoring state and federal DOT regulations
    • Ensuring all preventative maintenance is performed regularly
    • Ensuring all repairs are conducted to remain compliant with federal regulations
    • Assisting drivers in making appropriate arrangements during breakdowns
    • Coordinating Smith Training for drivers
  • Operating power equipment, including forklifts.
  • May serve as a backup driver as assigned or directed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, taste, and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) exceeding approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel/composite toe boots.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants may be present.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise drivers and material handlers
  • Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice
  • Strong memory and scanning abilities
  • Effective communication and math skills
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion
  • Able to learn to operate a forklift
  • May require a valid driver's license (depending on location) and compliance with company driver policy
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (does not test for THC/marijuana)
