Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a seasoned Process Safety Engineer to become a vital part of our Process Safety Management (PSM) team. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality process safety services to our diverse clientele. The successful candidate will engage in facilitating PHA/LOPA studies and may also take on roles such as Auditor or Lead Assessor on Facility Siting projects, depending on their expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
- Support the development of proposals and ensure quality assurance on deliverables.
- Act as the Technical Lead on projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to the overall success and proficiency of the team while fostering strong client relationships across various sectors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Process Safety, specifically in PHA/LOPA methodology, PSM/RMP program development, and auditing.
- Formal training in PHA and/or LOPA is preferred.
- Experience with PHA, consequence modeling, and/or QRA software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Process Controls or SIS is a plus.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time; a valid driver's license is required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.
