Job SummaryCommunity Health and Wellness, LLC is seeking a skilled Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to provide high-quality services for individuals with disabilities throughout Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in therapeutic recreation and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one recreation therapy to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioral/mental health diagnoses
  • Create tailored goals to meet the needs of individual clients
  • Document each session and communicate with other team members and service providers
  • Turn in timely documentation, including weekly invoicing, progress notes, and related paperwork
Requirements
  • Must be able to travel to current or prospective clients' homes
  • Must be able and willing to transport client(s) during client visits
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and agency-required auto liability insurance (100k/300k Bodily Injury)
  • Must be able to communicate with healthcare professionals, clients, families, and the general public through verbal and written communication
  • Must have access to a private personal laptop or desktop computer for HIPAA compliance
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPR/AED/FIRST AID Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only)
  • CTRS or TRS/TXC certified
  • Social Security Card
  • Driver's License
  • Auto Insurance (with 100/300/100 coverage minimum)
  • Professional Liability Insurance (with $1 million/$3 million coverage limit)
