We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Child Life Services department as the Director of Pediatric Services. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in child life and pediatric care, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the financial and clinical management of Child Life Services, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and family-centered services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate child life principles into hospital policies and practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders to promote child advocacy and support.
- Coordinate special events, fundraising campaigns, and marketing initiatives to advance the department's mission and goals.
- Master's degree in Child Life or a related field is required.
- Completion of a 600-hour child life internship under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years paid experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist required.
- 2 years of experience in a Children's Hospital is required.
- 7+ years of leadership experience preferred.
- Maintain Child Life Certification.
- CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire.
This position is based in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and family-centered services. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team-oriented setting and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in pediatric care.
