Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Child Life Services department as the Director of Pediatric Services. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in child life and pediatric care, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial and clinical management of Child Life Services, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staff supervision.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and family-centered services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate child life principles into hospital policies and practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders to promote child advocacy and support.
  • Coordinate special events, fundraising campaigns, and marketing initiatives to advance the department's mission and goals.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Child Life or a related field is required.
  • Completion of a 600-hour child life internship under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years paid experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist required.
  • 2 years of experience in a Children's Hospital is required.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Maintain Child Life Certification.
  • CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire.
