Wound Care Technician

The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine (CFWH) provides expert management and consulting services in the realm of wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Position Overview:
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and uphold safety standards during wound care treatments and hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate patient transportation to and from the clinic as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse, including monitoring vital signs, measuring wounds, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Assist in wound care procedures while ensuring a sterile and organized patient care environment.
  • Maintain safety protocols within the unit and promptly communicate any concerns.
  • Educate patients on wound care practices and the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures specific to a hyperbaric setting.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Possession of a valid medical certification (e.g., EMT, CMA, CNA).
  • A minimum of 2 years of medical experience is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Certification as a Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) is advantageous.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
