About the Role

C & B Material Handling, LLC, a leading provider of material handling equipment and automation solutions, is seeking a skilled Instructional Content Developer to join our team. Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Design: Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop a variety of instructional materials, including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, job resource aids, and additional product resources.
  • Create detailed instructional design documents, such as course outlines, storyboards, and scripts.
  • Develop engaging and interactive content using a variety of multimedia tools and technologies to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methods to create effective learning experiences tailored to adult learners in an industrial setting.
  • Work closely with trainers, facilitators, and other stakeholders to ensure instructional materials meet learning objectives and are effectively delivered.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve instructional materials based on feedback and learning outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology to implement innovative solutions.
Project Management:
  • Manage Multiple Projects: Oversee multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality instructional materials.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders regularly.
Learning Management Systems (LMS) Management:
  • LMS Operations: Oversee the operation and maintenance of internal and external LMS platforms.
  • Create and manage certification databases to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
Training Support:
  • Training Administration: Support training administration tasks, including record-keeping, outcome reporting, scheduling, progress tracking, and pre-requisite reporting.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in content development tools and course development software.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design theories and models.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with audio/video editing software.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Experience working with adult learners in an industrial setting is highly desirable.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing instructional materials and managing LMS platforms.
