Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer III at Daimler Truck, you will play a critical role in optimizing production processes to improve safety, ergonomics, efficiency, and first-time quality. You will work closely with the production team to ensure they have the necessary tools and processes to succeed in building trucks. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating new product designs and developing related manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes for efficient and economical mass production
  • Design the arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure the most efficient and productive layout
  • Design the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment
  • Conduct tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshoot/solve production problems
  • Provide guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
  • Ensure that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 2-4 years of supervisory, project lead, or relevant experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • TOS tools knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma or other approaches to problem-solving
  • Background in Lean Manufacturing

  • Starting salary range of $98,000.00 - $126,000.00 USD
