About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at WellSpan Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exams for subsequent evaluation by attending physicians.
  • Assist physicians as requested in the selection of practical applications and technical factors.
  • Conduct weekly quality control on 1.5T LX scanners and document all data in QC logs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with staff members to identify and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain a professional image and assist in the orientation of new personnel or trainees.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff members.
  • Verify correct procedures and patient information, and contact physicians with any discrepancies.
  • Accurately review patient charts and obtain relevant patient history/MR screening forms.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff members to ensure continuity of patient care.
  • Document interventions in the Electronic Health Record and Synapse.
  • Perform daily scanner, advantage workstations, and computer shutdown.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required.
  • One year current work experience or equivalent time as an MRI technologist devoted full-time to a high field MRI scanner.
  • Registered in active status by the American Registry of Technologists (ARRT).
  • Advanced certification for MRI registry required 24 months following completion of mandatory exam repetitions.
