About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our renal genetics business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nephrology, genetics, and medical affairs, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving business growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of renal genetics into routine medical care for patients with kidney disease, including those who are kidney transplant candidates and recipients.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and expansion in the renal genetics market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products and services, including clinical trials and product development.
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, and partners in the renal genetics market.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in renal genetics and translate this knowledge into actionable insights and recommendations for the business.
Requirements and Experience
- A medical degree or foreign equivalent is required.
- At least 4 years of practice experience is required.
- Fellowship training in nephrology and board certification are preferred.
- Duties are typically performed in an office setting.
- This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
- Duties may require working outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- The job location is remote, with 60% travel expected.
Estimated Salary Range
$221,600 - $277,000 USD per year, based on factors such as skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location.
