Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technician plays a vital role in the operating room, working closely with the surgical team to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety. As a key member of the surgical team, the Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, assisting the surgeon and other medical staff during procedures, and providing support to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgeon and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available for use.
  • Provide support to patients and families, answering questions and addressing concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, documenting patient information and surgical procedures as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent education.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Certification by an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies required (must be obtained within 12 months of completing the training program).
  • Basic life support certification.
  • 1-2 years of Operating Room experience preferred.
