As a Financial Strategy Manager at AbD Serotec, you will play a crucial role within the Corporate Finance team, collaborating closely with the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. This role encompasses global financial planning activities, including supporting the monthly financial close process, preparing variance analyses, and engaging in discussions regarding financial performance with leadership. You will partner with various functional and business leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, and conduct monthly financial analyses, while also tracking and reporting on global restructuring initiatives, along with performing other ad hoc financial modeling and analytical tasks to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the closing and reporting processes for overhead functions that support the corporate leadership team.
- Generate monthly variance analyses comparing actuals, forecasts, and budgets; investigate significant discrepancies and comprehend key business drivers.
- Collaborate with human resources to monitor and analyze global restructuring activities, providing monthly reports on restructuring financials and their implications for quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Lead and support corporate business leadership teams during the annual operating budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Conduct various ad-hoc financial modeling and analyses to support corporate overhead functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Managerial Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- Over 5 years of management experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or Accounting, preferably in public accounting or corporate finance; experience in areas such as SG&A, R&D, consolidations, commercial (sales), and supply chain (manufacturing & logistics) is desirable.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on process, documentation, and accuracy.
- Proficient financial modeling skills with the ability to navigate complex data seamlessly.
- Advanced Excel capabilities (including PivotTables, Sumifs, and Sumproduct).
- Excellent written communication skills to effectively convey monthly reports to stakeholders.
- Experience with enterprise-level accounting and planning software is preferred; familiarity with Essbase and SAP is a plus. Knowledge of PowerBI or similar tools is also beneficial.
