Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Management
    • Perform data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, equipment inventory, and company files.
    • Analyze expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
  • Account Reconciliation
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivables and general ledger with other applicable records (e.g., subsidiary vendors ledger).
    • Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
  • Recordkeeping and Compliance
    • Ensure proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
    • Confirm employer identification numbers have been collected from all vendors for payables to prepare and submit 1099s.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Facilitate correct and timely preparation of budget reports and purchase journals.
    • Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
  • Professional Development
    • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes.
    • Represent the Company in a professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and Office environment.
  • Skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
    • Highly proficient with accounting software.
    • Excellent organizational skills, reliable, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, including delegation of tasks when appropriate.
    • Adaptable and flexible; responsive and resourceful in a fast-paced, quick-turn business model.
    • Proficient with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
    • Excellent typing and 10-key skills.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and other Accounting or Operations software (ERP Systems).

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective customer service skills and communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and Sr. Management.
