About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As an Audiologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating patients with hearing and balance disorders, providing aural rehabilitation, and performing other professional duties.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Evaluating patients according to department policies and procedures, and following standards of practice.
- Developing diagnostic impressions and making recommendations based on test results, behavioral observations, and patient history.
- Selecting and interpreting electrophysiologic tests, such as ABR, VENG, CDP, VEP, Rotary Chair, Otoacoustic Emissions, Electrocochleography, and VEMP.
- Administering and interpreting tests of auditory function and processing, including behavioral diagnostic tests of auditory sensitivity using frequency-specific stimuli.
- Providing aural habilitation and rehabilitation programs, including taking earmold impressions and selecting earmold, personal amplification, and assistive listening devices.
- Documenting patient information and communicating changes in treatment plans.
- Recording charges and following department guidelines for productivity.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
- Entry-level experience considered based on staffing ratios.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in word, excel, and powerpoint.
- Audiology License and Certificate of Clinical Competence - Audiology.
- Preferred: Hearing Aid Dispensary License.
