Preoperative Care Specialist

As a Preoperative Care Specialist at SENTA Partners, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our surgical patients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide preoperative care and assessment to patients undergoing surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and document patient condition prior to surgery
- Monitor patient vital signs, pain control, and fluid intake/output
- Report any abnormalities to the anesthesiologist and/or surgeon as needed
- Provide pre-surgery care education to patients and their families
- Perform chart reviews and ensure accurate documentation
- Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Active RN license in the practicing state
- Certification in CPR, ACLS required; PALS preferred
- A minimum of one-year experience in Pre-Op is required
