Position Overview
The School of Dentistry is seeking qualified candidates for part-time, adjunct faculty roles to provide instruction in clinical settings and serve as attending dentists within the Division of Endodontics.
Key Responsibilities
Adjunct faculty members are expected to demonstrate proficiency in teaching, showcasing, and evaluating practice-level procedures in restorative dentistry, as well as managing dental emergencies. Their role includes supporting the faculty by assessing the clinical and professional growth of students.
The primary responsibilities of this position encompass, but are not limited to:
- Supervising and mentoring students during patient care in clinical environments
- Guiding students in preclinical laboratory settings
- Evaluating students' daily clinical and preclinical performance
- Assessing quizzes and examinations
- Grading daily laboratory projects and practical assessments
- Participating in lectures and faculty meetings related to preclinical courses
- Undertaking additional responsibilities as designated by the Division Director
Qualifications
Required:
- DDS, DMD, or an equivalent degree
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Licensed and in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry
- Experience in the field of Endodontics
Preferred:
- Experience in clinical or preclinical education
- Background in community outreach initiatives
- Completion of a CODA Accredited Advanced Education Program in Endodontics
