Job Summary
A skilled Automotive Technician is needed to join our team at Pep Boys. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tire and automotive services to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling system, suspension, and alignment services.
- Perform maintenance services and job duties of lower-level technicians.
- Effectively communicate technical diagnoses and needed repairs to colleagues and customers.
- Stay up-to-date with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous learning and training.
- Assist fellow technicians and mentor junior team members.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
- 2 or more ASE certifications (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes) are preferred.
- Section 609 certification is preferred.
- A valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
- Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
