Fleet Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team at Frito-Lay. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are safe and reliable for our drivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles, including brakes, suspension, and engine problems
  • Work on a variety of vehicles, including Ford E350 Step Vans, Sprinter Vans, and Peterbilt M220 trucks
  • Use computer skills to diagnose mechanical problems and install electronic logging devices
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient and safe vehicle maintenance
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience with gas or light-duty diesel engine repair
  • Ability to read pneumatic and electrical drawings
  • Major and minor electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Brake systems and air systems knowledge
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work in tight spaces
