Job SummaryThis is a Contract position with a Start Date of ASAP and an ongoing contract length. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients in a correctional facility setting, including administering medications, monitoring patients' conditions, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Consult with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and make informed decisions.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and medical information, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions and side effects.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures, and perform additional duties as assigned by the facility.
- Active Virginia license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- CPR Certification and any other required certifications or training.
