Senior Mechanical Engineer for Advanced RF Systems

At BlueHalo, we're seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the design and development of advanced RF systems. With a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in complex system design, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, assembly, testing, and integration of mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience with mechanical design and drawings. You will be working in a collaborative and respected team environment, with a state-of-the-art facility and a chance to make a significant impact in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
  • Perform analysis to validate designs
  • Manage and plan work with minimal guidance
  • Present design work as a subject matter expert
  • Develop engineering support documentation and test procedures
  • Mentor junior engineers

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software package
  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) software
  • Expertise in tolerance analysis and GD&T practices
  • Experience with common hand and power tools
  • Comfortable working with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Understanding of common machining and fabrication processes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ansys structural and/or thermal analysis software tools
  • Broad knowledge of materials, machining, and fabrication standards
