Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of service technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Assist the Aftermarket Manager in scheduling, coordinating, and resolving service and travel issues.
  • Train direct reports on job responsibilities and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Develop and foster relationships with existing customers, visiting them as needed to ensure their needs are met.
  • Establish a culture of safety first, supporting employees in safety training and enforcing company policies.
  • Work closely with other departments to set priorities and communicate progress and needs.
  • Mentor team members for cross-functional training and provide technical advice and support for departmental growth.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and problem-solving opportunities to meet customer demands.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in the automation industry, preferably with packaging machinery, capital equipment, parts, and services.
  • Experience with PLC-based industrial controls and prior supervisory and service experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics, mechanical assembly knowledge, and skills.
  • Knowledge of controls engineering and ability to understand equipment performance and potential solutions.
  • Solid mathematical skills and intermediate computer skills required.
