Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to guarantee peak performance and energy efficiency.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of plumbing and electrical systems within the building.
  • Optimize building automation systems for enhanced control over HVAC, lighting, and additional systems.
  • Establish and implement maintenance protocols to keep building systems in prime condition.
  • Proactively address and resolve operational challenges or emergencies concerning building systems.
  • Monitor energy consumption and devise strategies to enhance energy efficiency and minimize expenses.
  • Conduct energy assessments and propose improvements or modifications to boost building performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
  • Develop and enforce safety measures to safeguard building occupants and personnel.
  • Oversee renovation or upgrade initiatives related to building systems.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives within designated timelines and budgets.
  • Provide expert guidance and support for complex engineering challenges associated with building systems.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.
  • Track financial expenditures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and maintenance personnel.
  • Facilitate training and support to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on building performance, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain meticulous records of inspections, repairs, and modifications to systems.
  • Demonstrate expertise in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing chillers, boilers, cooling towers, fire/sprinkler systems, plumbing, electrical, and commercial HVAC equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of EPA Certification or CFC universal refrigerant card.
  • Extensive leadership experience in the maintenance of commercial HVAC systems.
Work Schedule and Benefits:
  • Standard hours: M-F 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm; participation in on-call rotation.
