Principal Software Development Engineer

Job Summary
The Oracle Defunct SaaS Continuity Engineering team is responsible for designing and building systems and services that enable industry-leading availability and performance objectives for Oracle's SaaS services.
We are looking for engineers who can develop services that operate at scale, balance speed and quality with iteration and incremental improvements, and drive tactical execution of features and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-availability and service continuity solutions across the entire stack – infrastructure, database, platform, and application services – and all dependent components.
- Build and operate highly available and large scale services.
- Develop services on a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle).
- Experience with containers and cloud native components.
- Experience with scripting languages for developing automations.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields.
- 8+ years software engineering experience in a distributed cloud environment.
- Strong development experience in Java, C++, or similar OO languages.
