Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for pediatric care to join our team at Childrens Dental Surgery. Our Surgery Center prioritizes exceptional patient care and offers a nurturing environment for our team.

As an RN with us, you will play a pivotal role in providing Pre-Op and PACU nursing care to our young patients in our ambulatory surgical center.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and accurately document nursing care for the pre-operative patients.
  • Coordinate all aspects of nursing care with the pre-operative team to achieve defined patient outcomes.
  • Work closely with the surgeons and anesthesia care providers to guide the child safely through the postoperative period.
  • Provide nursing care to patients in post-op, continuously monitoring and assessing patients during their stay.
  • Assist patients recovering from anesthesia.
  • Assess the patient's health status and previous medical history.
  • Provide appropriate education to the patient's family regarding their individualized plan of care for at-home recovery.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • At least one year of experience as an RN preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a pediatric or ambulatory surgery setting a plus.
  • Ability to obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of start date.
  • Current Pennsylvania RN License.
