In this role, you will assist nurses with examinations and treatments, perform responsible clerical duties, and ensure the smooth operation of our clinics.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Follow well-defined procedures to facilitate clinic services and assist clinicians during examinations.
  • Prompt patients to answer health questions and complete forms, reinforcing basic information about hygiene, birth control, sexual education, nutrition, etc.
  • Prepare rooms for examination, provide technical assistance during examination, anticipating instrument needs.
  • Perform patient measurements, tests, and screenings such as blood pressure, sputum, hearing, vision, urinalysis, pregnancy, TB, iron, glucose, lead, etc.
  • Dispense medications and administer injections, including immunizations, as ordered by physicians verbally or in writing.
  • Clean, set up, and restock exam rooms; sterilize instruments; inventory and order supplies.
  • Maintain logs, files, and records; collect clinical data and compile statistics.

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for medical assistants preferred.
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent from another state required.
