Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Primary Health Care. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive dental hygiene services to patients with diverse backgrounds, developing modalities of dental hygiene therapy to enable medically, mentally, and otherwise compromised patients to receive dental hygiene services.
- Assess patients presenting to the dental clinic for preventive services, completing diagnostic procedures as directed by the supervising dentist.
- Assist dentists at chair side and with business office procedures as needed, educating patients and families regarding assessment data, treatment plans, pre- and post-therapy instructions, and prevention of future disease.
- Maintain and complete dental hygiene patient records, assisting the Program Director with development and implementation of the dental community outreach program.
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Current license to practice dental hygiene in the state of Iowa.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers Certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
- Current Mandatory Reporter Training: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse recognized by the State of Iowa.
