Tri-Pac Inc. is a dynamic contract development and manufacturing company specializing in liquid and aerosol filling for personal care and pharmaceutical marketers. We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Expert to join our fast-growing team.

About the Role

The Facilities Maintenance Expert will be responsible for performing skilled maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs on various building items such as mechanical couplings, building control systems, overhead doors, fire doors, dock equipment, rail dock equipment, and plumbing. This role requires strong analytical skills to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action as required.

The ideal candidate will have uncompromising standards, work collaboratively with the team, communicate professionally, and demonstrate accountability. They should be open to new and innovative ideas, focus on continuous improvement, and bring a positive attitude to the workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect roofs and buildings to ensure they are in good condition.
  • Walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice, climb ladders up to 40 feet, and lift 60 pounds repeatedly.
  • Conduct equipment inspections, which may require getting on hands and knees to reach areas difficult to access.
  • Maintain tools and order supplies as required for installation and repairs.
  • Keep logs, document equipment repairs, close work orders, track time accurately in reports, and provide timely communication with the Operations Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Operate power tools safely and keep them in good working condition.
  • Inspect refrigeration, water cooling, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, heating, ventilating, and hot water equipment; pumps, valves, piping, and filters.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or state equivalent is required, along with a minimum of two years of related trade schooling or two years of college.
  • A strong background in plumbing, piping, fitting, and pneumatics is preferred.
  • Special knowledge and skills include the use of tools and machinery required by the position, as well as OSHA standards and local codes.
  • May be required to successfully complete training, qualification-related programs, or secure licenses required for the operation of the property within one year of start date.
