About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Engineer to join our team as a Hotel Maintenance Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative and repair maintenance work to ensure the hotel meets established quality and sustainability standards.



Salary and Benefits


The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.



Job Description


As a Hotel Maintenance Operations Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Conducting room inspections and identifying repair needs;
  • Installing or repairing sheetrock and other wall coverings;
  • Painting designated areas and items;
  • Installing and replacing basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures;
  • Repairing furniture;
  • Installing, replacing, and programming televisions;
  • Performing minor plumbing functions;
  • Replacing and repairing heating and cooling pumps, as well as performing preventative maintenance on units;
  • Tracing and repairing all types of water lines;
  • Troubleshooting and repairing kitchen equipment;
  • Maintaining repair and preventive maintenance records;
  • Performing and maintaining work to local, state, and Federal codes;
  • Being aware of guest satisfaction scores and working towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction;
  • Working as a bell attendant in the event of staffing shortages or during peak check-in/out periods;
  • Following Service Recovery Guidelines;
  • Following sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program;
  • Practicing safe work habits, wearing protective safety equipment, and complying with MSDS and OSHA standards;
  • Ensuring overall guest satisfaction;
  • Performing other duties as requested by management.


Requirements and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A high school diploma and trade school coursework in a related field (preferred);
  • Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.


Work Context


You will be working in a fast-paced environment with varying schedules, which may include holidays and weekends, and alternate shifts. You will also be required to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, kneel, stoop, crawl, and climb.
