About the Role

H-E-B is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shelf Edge Manager to lead our Store-wide shelf management, price image, and rotation initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the general functions of the Shelf Edge department, with opportunities for growth and development based on your classification level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all Store-wide shelf management, price image, and rotation initiatives
  • Manage the Shelf Edge department's general functions, including inventory and organization of supplies and tools
  • Collaborate with all departments and levels of Partners, management, and Store Leadership to achieve sales and operating goals
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve shelf edge processes and customer service
  • Monitor and manage department budget and payroll
  • Ensure compliance with company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety, refrigeration, and sanitation
  • Provide superior customer service and coach Partners on hospitality and customer service skills
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in the Shelf Edge department or in management, or comparable retail experience
  • SORM or equivalent certification
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, communicate and influence all levels of Partners effectively
  • Ability to adapt to stressful situations and make decisions in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks
Working Conditions

The Shelf Edge Manager will be required to:

  • Constantly reach at waist, grasp
  • Frequently stand, walk
  • Occasionally sit, reach at overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, climb ladder, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, perform fine motor movements
  • Occasionally be exposed to loud noise, and wet and cold conditions
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift 20 lbs, and manage in excess of 65 lbs
