Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates patients' medical histories and current health status to prepare them for cardiac catheterization.
  • Sets up specialized equipment and oversees patient monitoring during procedures to guarantee safety and optimal results.
  • Maintains a secure environment, follows universal precautions, and employs personal protective equipment to reduce risks and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Collaborates effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians and technicians, to facilitate efficient and successful procedures.
  • Provides education and support to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Engages in professional development activities, adheres to advancement program requirements, and mentors colleagues to foster professional growth and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field, ultimately enhancing patient care and clinical proficiency.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education: Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or another Allied Health Curriculum.

Experience:
Licensure/Certification: Required: BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS. North Carolina Board of Nursing License, RCIS for Cath Lab, RCES or IBHRE for EP, CCRN or RCIS for holding room.
