Position Summary

Flexible PRN role with diverse shift options.

  • Utilizes vascular ultrasound technology to generate diagnostic images and physiological data, including plethysmographic and Doppler waveforms, within the Vascular Laboratory.
  • Operates additional medical devices as necessary, ensuring high-quality patient care during vascular assessments. May assist in advanced procedures.
  • Effectively communicates and clarifies various procedures to patients and their families. Manages necessary documentation and maintains knowledge of supplies, ensuring rooms are well-stocked.
  • Participates in the training of vascular staff and students. Responsible for the clinical management of patients, evaluating their condition and vascular health to determine appropriate examinations and obtain specific diagnostic outcomes.
  • Conducts vascular examinations and interprets data with minimal oversight from physicians. Prepares procedure rooms with the required equipment and supplies, creating a comfortable atmosphere for patients. Captures, films, and documents optimal vascular ultrasound images and physiological evaluations; analyzes pertinent data prior to physician interpretation.
  • Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology, as demonstrated through the execution of examinations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited program in ultrasound technology, vascular technology, or cardiovascular studies, or one year of clinical experience in vascular technology alongside a two-year allied health program.
  • Must secure a vascular credential [RVT, RVS, or RT(VS)] within the first year of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the standards set by the American Heart Association is required.
