Job Summary

Cameron County is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Park Ranger to join our team. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for protecting and preserving the natural and cultural resources of our parks and public beaches. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to public safety, environmental conservation, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations related to park use and conservation
  • Provide public safety and emergency response services
  • Conduct patrols and inspections to ensure compliance with park rules and regulations
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve conservation goals
  • Develop and implement educational programs to promote environmental awareness and conservation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in environmental science, conservation, or related field preferred
  • Valid Texas Peace Officer Certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies
