Position Overview

The HRIS Applications Specialist is responsible for overseeing the human resources information systems (HRIS) and managing the Learning Management System.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of HRIS Applications Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Offering functional and technical assistance for the organization's HRIS platform.
  • Identifying technical solution options to resolve issues throughout the service request process.
  • Tracking incoming service requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Managing service request backlogs and updating open items with current progress.
  • Collaborating with various internal teams to investigate and propose system enhancements to improve learning processes.
  • Maintaining comprehensive process documentation.
  • Coordinating system upgrades and conducting user acceptance testing for new features.
  • Recognizing necessary changes to rectify errors and prevent future occurrences.
  • Providing mentorship to junior team members and assisting them with significant incidents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with UKG systems, either Pro or Dimensions.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise HR management systems such as Kronos, Taleo, or Workday.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with SQL and Oracle databases.
  • 2+ years of experience in application development or programming.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles.
  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley IT Change management controls.
  • Ability to adhere to change management protocols.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
