Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and Treat Disorders: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans to address communication disorders in pediatric patients.
  • Supervise Student Interns: Provide guidance and mentorship to student interns, ensuring they receive hands-on training and experience in speech-language pathology.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.

Requirements:

  • Valid License: Possess a valid Kentucky State License or interim license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Education: Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from a program accredited by the Council for Academic Accreditation of the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Certification: Obtain a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Hearing Association or be in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings is preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS certification is preferred at hire, with a requirement to obtain it within 90 days after hire.
