We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Agility Fuel Solutions LLC. Key Responsibilities- Pursue New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the territory through expansion of existing CNG fleet expansion and driving new adoption of CNG in lieu of traditional diesel.
- Develop Sales Strategies: Develop a monthly, quarterly, and annual territory plan to grow the business in the territory, including definition of number of units expected to sell by market segment, planned customer/partner visits, and ongoing tracking and reporting vs. goals and targets.
- Maintain Customer Relationships: Maintain existing customer relationships through regular in-person visits, account management, and support of ongoing requirements.
- Product Expertise: Develop a thorough understanding of our product line and specifications, and how to translate customer requirements into a properly specified product, factoring in range requirements, vehicle chassis applications, space requirements, and project budgets.
- Quote Development: Translate the appropriate Fuel System specifications into an accurate and complete quotation for all facets of the vehicle integration, using established pricing protocols and remaining within price flexibility boundaries.
- Sales Process Management: Control, influence, and manage the multi-channel sales process, coordinating with the end customer, vehicle OEMs, chassis OEMs, engine OEMs, and associated OEM dealer stores, and 3rd party installation partners.
- Industry Leadership: Be a subject matter expert and ensure a leadership presence at industry seminars, workshops, symposiums, and fleet nights, broadening industry awareness and growing CNG new adoption.
- Network Development: Build a network of indirect partnership resources, leveraging environmental advocacy, clean cities coalitions, clean fuels coalitions, natural gas and alternative fuel associations, Federal, State, County, and Municipal authorities, fuel suppliers, fueling infrastructure suppliers, natural gas research facilities, and other environmental influencers.
- Market Intelligence: Communicate industry market conditions, competitive activity, and trending technology development and industry requirements to the Sales Director and Marketing Director for assessment and action.
- Travel Requirements: Position requires 50-75% travel within North America.
- Experience: 5+ years' experience in a sales role, ideally as a Territory Manager or Regional Sales Manager.
- Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the automotive industry, structures, and processes, preferably in the heavy-duty sector.
- Sales Skills: Proficient in multi-channel sales processes, direct and indirect selling, vehicle specifications, vehicle layout drawings, installation criteria.
- Leadership Skills: Ideal candidate will be process and results-driven with the ability to make decisions, strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, and a robust ability to work across many workgroups, functional areas, facilities, and cultures.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing, experience with MS Office suite and SharePoint (or other information sharing systems).
- Travel Requirements: Must have a valid passport and driver's license and be able to travel internationally in North America.
- Business Acumen: Strong ability to prospect, plan, and execute to grow business in the territory, a proven 'hunter' and 'closer', motivated, customer-focused, and highly energetic.
- Engineered Product Experience: Experience in a highly engineered product/process environment.
- Software Skills: Experience with Salesforce, IFS, and ShowPad an asset.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish a plus.
- Network: Come with a book of contacts in the heavy-duty trucking, bus, or refuse market sectors.
