We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Operations Manager at Goldfish Swim School. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our swim school, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Operations Management: Direct and control daily operations to ensure the swim school is running according to Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures.
- Staff Management: Manage the staff of Goldfish Swim School to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers, Deck Supervisors, and Golden Teachers on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, and employee performance.
- Sales and Marketing: Provide sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
- Retail and Vending: Direct and oversee the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing is achieved.
- Private Party Operations: Train and oversee private party staff to ensure that Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures are being maintained.
- Technology and Pool Operations: Gain knowledge and experience in all technology platforms and GSS pool operations to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
- Emergency Action Plan and Safety Procedures: Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility, and train all current staff on the GSS EAP.
- Professional Development: Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Experience: Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required. Two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
- Certifications: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid certification required. Shallow water attendant highly recommended.
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
