Job Overview

As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for executing welding tasks in compliance with established procedures and specifications, ensuring the production of components that meet precise tolerances.

Your role will involve interpreting blueprints and understanding specification requirements, enabling you to set up welding equipment accurately and operate various welding tools for high-quality work.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute welding tasks following directives to achieve the required output of components.
  • Utilize diverse equipment to perform specific phases of the welding process.
  • Ensure all produced parts adhere to specified tolerances and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while performing routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols related to welding operations, including proper guarding and the use of safety gear.
  • Document work orders and production quantities through simple reporting.
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints to effectively plan the setup and operation of welding machinery.
  • Utilize both manual and automated welding techniques to join or overlay materials.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and write effectively to follow work instructions and complete basic production reports.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Visual acuity (corrected) sufficient to read instructions, operate machinery, and inspect finished products.
  • Physical capability to lift, reach, and work on concrete surfaces, including the use of overhead cranes for material handling.
  • Successful completion of a welding certification test in accordance with AWS standards for unlimited thickness.
