Job Summary

Motor City Racks is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for using manual and automatic tools to complete finished racks with dunnage or sub-assemblies, painting, stenciling, or touching up products, and ensuring all products meet production specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual and automatic tools to complete finished racks with dunnage or sub-assemblies
  • Paint, stencil, or touch up products before shipping
  • Inspect all work to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Read and interpret blueprints and process sheets
  • Assist in training and mentoring newer employees
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Participate in continuous improvements and 5S initiatives
Requirements
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Understanding of basic tool functions
  • Physical ability to lift over 40lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Steel-toe boots required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work any 3 shifts and overtime as needed
