Motor City Racks is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for using manual and automatic tools to complete finished racks with dunnage or sub-assemblies, painting, stenciling, or touching up products, and ensuring all products meet production specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Operate manual and automatic tools to complete finished racks with dunnage or sub-assemblies
- Paint, stencil, or touch up products before shipping
- Inspect all work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Read and interpret blueprints and process sheets
- Assist in training and mentoring newer employees
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Participate in continuous improvements and 5S initiatives
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Understanding of basic tool functions
- Physical ability to lift over 40lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Steel-toe boots required
