About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Laboratory Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing moderate to high complexity laboratory testing procedures and interpreting test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory testing procedures and interpret test results to ensure the quality and safety of blood products.
  • Identify and quarantine products/samples that do not meet quality requirements.
  • Meet quality and quantity production and testing goals established by the department.
  • Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in science or Bachelor's degree in an applied science.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment, personal computer, and applicable software for sustained periods.
  • Ability to work with a team.

Work Environment

Our laboratory is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will work with a team of professionals to ensure the quality and safety of blood products. You will be required to wear protective clothing, including lab coats, gloves, and face shields, when working with blood and blood products.

Physical Requirements

This role requires standing, stretching, stooping, and bending for extended periods. You will be required to lift, pull, push, and move objects of up to 50 pounds. You may work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time.
